British superstars Liam Harrison and Jonathan Haggerty return in April as part of ONE Championship’s TNT series. Harrison returns on the 14th of April, whilst Haggerty returns two weeks later on the 28th of April.

The “Hitman” faces Thai sensation Pongsiri, a former two time lumpinee stadium champion and Omnoi stadium champion. Having already competed for the featherweight title against Petchmorakot at the start of 2020, Pongsiri too is looking to advance towards a title shot at his more natural weight at bantamweight.  Liam will be looking to follow in the footsteps of his Bad Company teammate Jordan Watson, who secured a victory over the Thai in 2017. Liam, an eight time world Muay Thai champion, will be hoping a victory here will propel him into the top 5 rankings, and secure either a mouth-watering rematch with Rodlek, or bouts with Kulabdam or Saemapetch before fighting for the bantamweight title.

Jonathan Haggerty faces number four ranked flyweight Elias Mahmoudi. The bout was teased, with Mahmoudi calling Haggerty out back in January, and now the fight will come to fruition by the end of April. Fresh off the back of a victory over Taiko Naito  in December, Haggerty is keen to stay active in his pursuit of a trilogy bout with Rodtang to re-claim his ONE championship title. Mahmoudi has a win over Thai legend Lerdsila Chumpairtour. Mahmoudi came short in his first attempt at claiming ONE championship gold, with a bizarre loss to Petchdam. The winner of this bout is sure to be close to a bout against Rodtang before the end of the year for the Flyweight strap.

These two bouts top off a sensational month of British Muay Thai, with Jacob Smith and Amber Kitchen also in action. We cannot wait and wish our British stars the best of luck in their upcoming bouts!
